Walking down the street on a summer day, I noticed a gorgeous apricot lying in the mud near the gate of a house. Next to it were lying its no less gorgeous sisters. These beautiful forgotten apricots made such an impression on me.
I live in the city of Krasnodar in the south of Russia, and such a situation is common here. I wanted to highlight these treasures, emphasize their juiciness and beauty. When watching plants, I often think about the work they do, how incredible they are.
Bare sticks turn into flowers, then leaves and fruits appear. Understanding what a herculean effort it takes a tree to produce the fruits, I cannot view abandoned fruits as anything else but unappreciated jewels left in the city mud.
